CCJP plays a vital role in enhancing the capacity of human rights activists from diverse religious backgrounds through different trainings, including Capacity-building trainings and Training of Trainers (ToT) at the National level. One of the significant outcomes CCJP observed is the high engagement level and contribution from alumni chapter members. These individuals, who have participated in initial capacity-building sessions, have effectively applied their learned skills in supporting the commission’s activities. This positive outcome has encouraged CCJP to explore new and innovative approaches, such as organizing exposure visits for activists with different departments. These visits are designed to provide participants with practical experience and a broader perspective on their work.
The training programs offered by CCJP cover a wide range of topics, including Human Rights and Laws, the current situation of religious minorities, Freedom of Religion or Belief, lobbying and advocacy, online and offline security, and strategies to maintain the psychological well-being of both activists and victims.Through these comprehensive trainings, CCJP aims to empower human rights defenders (HRDs) with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute actively to peace-building efforts. The ultimate goal is to promote a culture of peace and coexistence in their respective regions, fostering an environment where diversity is respected and upheld.
